Burger (Php 145.00), Additional Bacon (Php 30.00) Onion Rings (Php 65.00),
Large LiberTEA (Php 65.00)

To this day, I am still on the lookout for new burger joints to satisfy my burger cravings. However, I can't say that Army Navy Burger + Burrito will be added to my list of faves.

As always, when trying out new places, I ordered the basic... I believe, if you can't get your basic fare right, then the rest won't intrigue me. I got Army Navy's Burger with Additional Bacon, Onion Rings, and a large LiberTEA. The ONLY food item from the three that appealed to my taste would be the large LiberTEA... period. I liked the fact that their iced tea was not the usual sugary instant iced tea mix. One thing that could've made the drink better was if it were served chilled or with crushed or more ice at that. Flavor was spot on, but wasn't really refreshing since it wasn't chilled well.

The burger was disappointing. The patty was dry and lacked flavor. The onion rings were even more disappointing... dry, bland... and I didn't really taste or even "feel" the actual onion when I took a bite... in fact, it tasted as if it were cooked in "reused cooking oil". If you want a really good burger, I suggest you go to Wham! Burgers instead.

MY VERDICT

What I Liked:
> Beverage - LiberTea.... but still need improvement on the "ice" part
> Decor - I liked the army-bunker-mess hall type of decor they used, pretty cool :-)

What I Didn't Like:
> Taste - Burgers were bland. Onion Rings tasted too oily

Will I Go Back?:
> Not really

Do I Recommend This Place?:
> Nah... and perhaps yeah, but just for those looking for house-brew iced tea

Again, I know there are a lot of people out there who have had a seemingly wonderful food experience at Army Navy Burger + Burrito... but I'm writing my honest take on MY experience. Hope to be proven wrong... when someone else takes me here... since I don't think I'd be getting my burger fix from Army Navy anytime soon.

  5. i loved the burger. i hated that there offered sidings like they were for free and it was too late when i realized that over 100 was added to the bill just for cheese and i cant remember what else. they have a sneaky way of upselling.

  6. I like your blog because you are honest and more than willing to criticize unlike other food bloggers who just say nothing but nice things.

I had a lousy service experience at Army-Navy last year, I ordered a burger and fries but they forgot the fries and I had to wait until they cooked it from scratch 20 minutes after they served my burger!

Im never going back there again.
